New Year celebrations

The AGI (Associazione Goistica Italiana - Association for Go in Italy)  is pleased to announce the traditional “Go & Ski” event. This is a week-long event which offers an excellent chance to deepen your knowledge of Go while enjoying the New Year celebrations, skiing on some of the finest pistes in the Alps, where will be held the XX Olympic Winter Games in 2006, and playing Go with players from many countries.
Of course non Go players are also welcome.

Timing
From 26th December 2003 to 2nd January 2004 – i.e. 7 nights.

Place
Pragelato in the province of Turin in Italy, a mountain village 9 km. from Sestrière, and about an hour’s drive from Turin.

Go teaching
Jeff Séailles (6 dan), will be in charge of the Go teaching, and every day will hold a two-hour teaching session in French.  Also, every evening strong players will hold simultaneous matches, and further lessons can be organised on the spot for all levels of Go players.

Accommodation
Casa Alpina Don Barra (1 star). We will have the rooms for playing and teaching available 24h/24.
Half-board prices are:
 
4-5-6 person rooms:  29,00 EUR ppn
3-person rooms: 31,00 EUR ppn
2-person rooms:  34,00 EUR ppn

 
Full board supplement: 7,00 EUR ppn
Fixed menu: 10,50 EUR (for those not staying at the hotel)
Supplement for New Year banquet 27,00 EUR per person

Note: there are only a few bedrooms with bathrooms, and these will be assigned to the first registrations.

In addition:
 
charge for the Go course  40,00 EUR for the whole week. (Non Go players are not required to pay this.)

30,00 EUR : for foreigners and AGI members

Will be also possible to rent ski & boots for about 5,00 EUR pppd
 
N.B. This is an extremely busy period, and it is essential for us to know exactly how many people will be taking part. Please book therefore by the 10th October.  Beyond that date there may be places available, but we will have to check. On booking, you will be asked for a deposit of 30% of the total price.
